Why do we feel comfortable encouraging our kids to "Go For It" or "What Do You Have To Lose" when we ourselves need this type of encouragement. The older we get the harder it can be to take chances. Life experiences create fear in us - telling us that if we try something it could go wrong or not end the way we want it to.
Somewhere along the line we start weighing all the pros and cons and often the cons put an end to the ideas immediately. How often do we actually assign weight to the pros? Or emotion to the pros vs adding so much emotion to the cons?
